Tite Kubo Says BLEACH: TYBW Part 4 Anime Will Have Even More Original Content Not Seen in the Manga

BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) had a special TikTok livestream today, where Tite Kubo said that Part 4 of the anime will have even more original content than we’ve seen so far. This is also where they announced that there will be a 1-hour special finale on December 28, along with new voice cast and the Episode 38 trailer.

The livestream also featured the voice actors Masakazu Morita (Ichigo), Noriaki Sugiyama (Uryu), Fumiko Orikasa (Rukia) and Kentaro Ito (Renji).

Kubo’s words can even be translated as ‘entire episodes’ of original new content for Part 4 of BLEACH: TYBW, though he said “maru maru ichi wa shiranai” (まるまる一は知らない), where “ichi” could imply either big chunks of content or entire episodes. He didn’t explicitly say ‘episodes,’ so we will also keep it open ended for now.

In the stream, Kubo said: “There’s nothing I can talk about yet regarding the fourth cour [Part 4] But, the fact that I can’t say anything… well, you know what that means. Please look forward to it. With the fourth cour, when you watch the anime, you might feel like, “Wait, I’ve never seen this before,” or “This wasn’t in the original manga.” Like, “I don’t know this part of BLEACH!” In the fourth cour, there will even be entire sections where people might say, “I’ve never seen this before!”

We’ve already seen the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War anime expanding on the manga. Some examples from the ongoing cour include the Ichigo vs Uryu fight, or Renji’s own completely new fight against Uryu. With Kubo teasing the Part original content despite the amount of it already present, it may well be entire episodes worth.

BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 -The Conflict- is the third of four parts of the new anime. It premiered on October 5, topping our weekly rankings 7/11 times so far. Episode 38 titled “FRIENDS” will premiere on December 21, while the anime will also have a panel at Jump Festa 2025 on December 22.
