Kentaro Yabuki, known as the manga artist of To Love Ru and also as the manga creator of ongoing Ayakashi Triangle, posted a Christmas illustration that his daughter drew for him.
The daughter’s drawing features a character from the Ayakashi Triangle series named Rachika who has an upset look on her face. She is based on Snegurochka (The Snow Maiden) found in Russian fairy tales. “Merry Christmas♡” can be seen in the upper left corner. The caption says Kentaro Yabuki’s daughter thought her father has been occupied [with his job as a mangaka] so she drew the Christmas illustration for him. She likes the character’s crying face and she is a second-grade student in high school, the post added. The typical age for the grade students is around 16 to 17 in Japan.
Kentaro Yabuki has two children, the above-mentioned daughter with his former wife, and a baby son, whom he welcomed in early June 2022, with his current spouse.
His ongoing manga Ayakashi Triangle began in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in June 2020 and moved into the company’s online magazine Shonen Jump+ with Chapter 89 on April 25, 2022.
