Umamusume To Sponsor the 2026 Motul Grand Prix of Japan

Umamusume: Pretty Derby has announced a sponsor partnership with MotoGP™ ahead of the 2026 edition of the Motul Grand Prix of Japan. As part of the sponsorship, a 509′ (155 meters) sign featuring Oguri Cap, Tamamo Cross, Daiwa Scarlet, Jungle Pocket, Agnes Tachyon, Almond Eye, and Lucky Lilac will adorn the race circuit. Umamusume illustrations will be placed by the Motul Grand Prix of Japan’s grandstand entrance. Additionally, Tomoyo Takayanagi (Oguri Cap‘s VA), will be the Moto2 and Moto3 flag girl.

This Motul Grand Prix of Japan will be held at the Motegi Circuit in Tochigi Prefecture from October 2 to 4. The Moto2 and Moto3 races are scheduled for Sunday, October 4.

The Moto3 race is an entry-level category designated for lightweight 250cc bikes and younger riders; the Moto2 race features intermediate riders on 765cc motorcycles. The upcoming Japanese race is one of several global Grand Prix races. Tickets for the MotoGP™ Motul Grand Prix of Japan range from a three-day general admission ticket valued at $92.50 (~ ¥14,410) to the three-day Victory Deck Grandstand Seats, which retail for $1666.57 (~ ¥259,707). Umamusume: Pretty Derby‘s sponsorship of the Motul Grand Prix of Japan marks the second time the franchise has collaborated with a non-horse racing sporting event. Earlier this year, the franchise sponsored the Pacific Racing Team at the Super GT series (car racing). Cygames, Inc. has sponsored and collaborated with various horse racing events, including prestigious races like the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, Grand Premio Latinoamericano, and the Breeders’ Cup.

Cygames, Inc. is the parent company of Umamusume: Pretty Derby, a mobile game that features anthropomorphic versions of real-life racehorses. The mobile game has been adapted into several TV anime, OVAs, manga, and a theatrical film.
