Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out Season 2 revealed a special visual ahead of tomorrow’s final episode. Studio ENGI is animating the sequel, which premiered this October. The visual features Sakurai, Uzaki and a mysterious cat:
“Ichigo Ichie Celebration” by Kano and Uzaki-chan (Naomi Ozora) is the opening theme song for the series, while “Happy Life” by MKLNtic is the ending. Kazuya Miura directed the season and the main cast includes:
- Kenji Akabane as Shinichi Sakurai
- Naomi Oozora as Uzaki-chan
- Ayane Taketatsu as Ami Asai
- Yousuke Akimoto as Akihiko Asai
- Tomoya Takagi as Itsuhito Sakaki
- Yuuko Sanpei as Kiri Uzaki
- Saori Hayami as Tsuki Uzaki
- Seina Kato as Yanagi Uzaki
- Hideo Ishikawa as Fujio Uzaki
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! is based on a manga by Take. It has been serialized on NicoNico Seiga’s Dra Dra Sharp website since December 2017. A TV anime adaptation by ENGI aired from July to September 2020.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Sakurai Shinichi’s one wish is for a little peace and quiet. But Uzaki Hana–his boisterous, well-endowed underclassman–has other plans. All she wants is to hang out and poke fun at him. With the help of her chipper charm and peppy persistence, this might just be the start of a beautiful relationship!
