Virtual Artist SHINO to Debut on December 17 With “EGO,” an EDM-Driven Dual-Persona Performance

Written by Anime Corner

Frontier Works and Yamaha Music Communications have introduced SHINO, a new CG-based virtual artist with a gender-shifting concept built around dual expression. The debut digital single, EGO, will release on December 17, 2025, marking the launch of a multimedia project that “fuses singing, dancing, and CG.”

SHINO’s concept centers on two personas within one character:

  • SHINO-BEAT (male form)
  • SHINO-LOOP (female form)

Each version will feature distinct vocals, movement, and choreography, tied to genre-specific influences from EDM, soul, and funk. EGO, the debut track, is described as an aggressive, high-energy EDM song and will be followed by the second single SUSHI BOYS HERO, scheduled for release on January 7, 2026.

SHINO’s activities will expand beyond streaming to include music videos, 3D live performances, and social media content aimed at creating an immersive “persona-switching live experience.”

Key contributors to SHINO’s debut include:

  • Vocals: Yuri Matsuoka
  • Character design: Ponnmame
  • Choreography: REIKA
  • Dancers: Rukua Nemoto (male), Hana Kikuchi (ohana) (female)

EGO will be available digitally on all major platforms, priced at ¥261 (tax included). Streaming and product info is also available.
