Voice actress and artist Akane Kumada digitally released her 4th single “Another Self,” on July 17. The song is the ending theme song to the ongoing Classroom for Heroes anime series. A music video based on the theme of the anime also premiered on the same day as the song’s digital release.
The single will be available to purchase for 1650 yen (~11 USD) starting on September 6. The release will contain three songs, their own instrumentals, and a TV version of “Another Self.” Check out the cover of the single:
Akane Kumada’s career kicked off when she won the Grand Prix at the Anisong Stars audition in 2017. After that, she went on to voice Ellen in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Mina in Drugstore in Another World: The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist, and Hibiki Morishima in Healer Girl.
She also voiced Ichiko Oda, one of the main characters in Cinnamon Nobunaga, and made her debut as an artist with the opening theme song “Sunny Sunny Girl” in 2020. Since then, she has sung the opening theme songs for several other popular works, including The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Super Cub, and Drugstore in Another World: The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist, as well as the ending theme song for Kizuna Taikan TV: Mobile Suit Gundam Dai-07 Itakura Shoutai ~Yuku Kizuna Kuru Kizuna~.
