Popular voice actress and idol group i☆Ris has announced that they are getting an anime movie. The movie titled, “ i☆Ris the Movie – Full Energy!!” is due to release in Japanese theaters in 2024. The information was revealed during today’s 10th anniversary live program.
In a news post on their official website, the movie details are described as “still under the veil” and they have asked fans to look forward to the follow-up information. In addition to the anime movie, i☆Ris released their 10th-anniversary album and announced their 8th live tour, which will commence in April of 2023.
i☆Ris was formed in 2012 after the results of the Anison Vocal Auditions, in which six members were selected. The group currently consists of Saki Yamakita (leader), Yu Serizawa, Himika Akaneya, Yuki Wakai, and Miyu Kubota. Former member Azuki Shibuya graduated in March 2021. They debuted their first single in November 2012 titled, “Color“ and have since released a further 22 singles and 5 albums.

Known as a hybrid unit, they combine both their voice acting and idol activities. All members of the group are the main characters in the PriPara idol anime series. All members have taken on their separate challenges in voice-acting as well as creating their solo music careers.
