Voice Actress Yui Makino Announces Pregnancy

Voice actress and singer Yui Makino announced her pregnancy on her official Instagram account. Makino married singer Yutaro Miura in 2020.

To everyone who has been supporting me,
To everyone involved,

This is a personal topic, but I’m blessed with a new life. Although the birth is expected in March of next year, as I’m in the second trimester ina stable condition, my body has started showing the growth of our baby, so we have decided to make the announcement.

I appreciate my manager and the people of my agency for their delicate care and adjustments, and to those who involved for their very thoughtful consideration.

I will continue thinking first of my condition and try to do my jobs the same way as I have been doing as possible.

To inform you of good news, I will get my mind and body in shape for the delivery, and my husband and I will pull together to take good care of our tiny, tiny new life.

Life has been hectic with a lot of things that we have never experienced, but we’d appreciate your continuous warm support.

About Yui Makino

Yui Makino is best known for her role of Misaki from Welcome to the N.H.K. and Sakura in Tsubasa Chronicle. Her other roles include Ririna Sanada from Love and Lies, Yusa from Angel Beats, and Aki from Anohana. She’s also part of the idol franchise iDOLM@STER and PriPara.

In addition to voice acting, she is also a singer and a pianist who’s currently affiliated with Amuse Inc. Makino performed the themes of Aria the Animation, Welcome to N.H.K., as well as Soul Eater.
