WEBTOON Entertainment and publisher Saturday AM have announced a new partnership to bring a selection of Saturday AM’s “diverse manga titles” to WEBTOON’s English-language platform starting in Fall 2025.
The collaboration will adapt several of Saturday AM’s creator-owned series into WEBTOON’s vertical scroll format. Saturday AM describes its catalog as the “world’s most diverse manga-inspired comics,” and it has separate digital brands for shonen, seinen and josei titles. One of the series is APPLE BLACK, created by popular YouTuber Odunze Oguguo (Whyt Manga, Nigeria).
Saturday AM was founded in 2013 by Frederick L. Jones and is known for its focus on underrepresented voices in manga. The publisher distributes globally in nearly 40 countries and has translated its content into five languages.
Saturday AM founder Frederick L. Jones said about this partnership: “This partnership with WEBTOON continues our efforts to normalize diverse representation in manga. We want more people to see themselves reflected in the stories they love, and digital platforms like WEBTOON help make that possible.”
Ryan Lee, Head of U.S. Content at WEBTOON, also commented: “Saturday AM has helped build space for a new generation of creators. This partnership helps us further expand the voices and stories available on our platform.”
Titles confirmed for release include:
- CLOCK STRIKER
- APPLE BLACK
- HAMMER
- MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER WORLD OF GHOSTS
- TITAN KING
