WEBTOON Entertainment has announced a corporate rebrand and restructuring of its North American entertainment and IP operations. Wattpad WEBTOON Studios has been renamed WEBTOON Productions, and the company has made several key executive appointments as part of this shift.

David Madden has been named President of WEBTOON Productions, where he will continue overseeing development, production, and sales of U.S. and international film, television, and animation projects based on WEBTOON and Wattpad IP. Madden joined the company in 2022 as Head of Global Entertainment and previously held senior roles at AMC Networks, Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox Television Studios, and Berlanti Productions.

Maximilian Jo, currently General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, will take on the additional role of Vice President, Head of Strategy for the Global IP Business. In this expanded capacity, he will lead strategic planning for WEBTOON Productions and the company’s broader IP initiatives. Jo joined WEBTOON in 2021, having previously served as General Counsel for Yeezy and for CJ Entertainment America.

Both Madden and Jo will report to Yongsoo Kim, Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Global WEBTOON at WEBTOON Entertainment. Yongsoo Kim said regarding the changes:
