Mission: Yozakura Family Anime Gets Streaming Service Reveal

The upcoming spy-comedy anime, Mission: Yozakura Family, will stream on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ worldwide, according to Hulu’s official press release. Readers can check out the previously released visual below:

Mission: Yozakura Family – Anime Visual | Streaming on Hulu and Disney+ in April

With Mission: Yozakura Family heading to Disney+, the series joins other anime like The Fable, GO! GO! Loser Ranger!, and Sand Land: The Series for the upcoming Spring 2024 season. Mission: Yozakura Family also follows Ishura, Bleach, and more in Disney’s growing anime catalog.

Some fans will naturally voice disappointment at Disney’s acquisition of the series, with many feeling that past anime have proven difficult to access or have been underpromoted. Heavenly Delusion (Tengoku Daimakyo) – which finished second in Anime Corner’s Sci-Fi Anime of the Year award – is one of the most cited examples.

Mission: Yozakura Family will be animated by Silver Link, and adapts Hitsuji Gondaira’s manga of the same name, currently published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. Readers can check out the latest anime trailer with the new opening song, “Unmei-chan” by Ikimono-gakari. VIZ has licensed the manga in English, describing it:
Taiyo Asano is a super-shy high school student and the only person he can talk to is his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Mutsumi comes from a line of master spies with amazing powers. Her oldest brother, Kyoichiro, is obsessed with Mutsumi and out to kill anyone who gets remotely near her—and his next target is Taiyo! The only way for Taiyo to save himself from Kyoichiro’s murderous clutches is to marry Mutsumi!
