CloverWorks’ upcoming Wind Breaker anime has set its release date for April 5, 2024, as confirmed alongside the series’ main trailer, second key visual, and more. Natori will perform the opening “Zettai Reido” (Absolute Zero), while Young Kee will perform the ending “Muteki” (Invincible).
Additionally, joining the Wind Breaker cast are Kengo Kawanishi as Taiga Tsugeura, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Mitsuki Kiryu, and Ikumi Hasegawa as Kotoha Tachibana. Check out the main trailer and new key visual below:

Wind Breaker ending theme song artist Young Kee teased protagonist Haruka Sakura as possessing a “fragile and painfully kind heart,” adding that the group he fights for, Bofurin, continues to strive to protect others despite being in tatters.
Toshifumi Akai will direct Wind Breaker, with the screenplay by Hiroshi Seko and music by Ryo Takahashi. The series adapts Satoru Nii’s manga of the same name, published across 15 volumes in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket. Volume 16 drops in Japan on March 8. Kodansha USA licenses the series, describing it:
Haruka Sakura wants nothing to do with weaklings—he’s only interested in the strongest of the strong. He’s from Fuurin High School, a school of near-dropout degenerates known only for their brawling strength. And in a town known for its territorial disputes, Haruka’s got only one goal—become the hero his town deserves.
Wind Breaker‘s release date is April 5 in Japan, and April 4 for most other regions.
