Witch on the Holy Night Movie Reveals Final Trailer, Staff, supercell Theme Song and New Character Visual

The Witch on the Holy Night theatrical anime film has released its final 90-second trailer and staff ahead of its November 20, 2026 premiere in Japan. The video also previews the film’s theme song “Yoru to Ao” by supercell.

The movie is set to premiere on November 20, 2026 in Japan, while the anime will begin its worldwide theatrical release in January 2027. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment bringing the film to the United States and Canada on January 29, 2027, and it will be available in Japanese with English subtitles as well as an English dub.

The theme song was written, composed and arranged by ryo, with vocals performed by Nagi Yanagi. You can watch the new trailer below.

A new character visual illustrated by original character designer Hirokazu Koyama was also unveiled alongside the latest promotional material.

Witch on the Holy Night (Mahoutsukai no Yoru) is a visual novel originally developed by TYPE-MOON and written by Kinoko Nasu, best known for works like Fate/stay night and Tsukihime. The game first launched in Japan on April 12, 2012, with an English version released globally in December 2022. It also became available on Steam in 2023.

The visual novel features character designs by Hirokazu Koyama and a soundtrack composed by Hideyuki Fukasawa. The upcoming film adaptation is being produced by Ufotable, the studio behind titles like Demon Slayer and Fate/Zero.
