Witch on the Holy Night Anime Movie Hits Theaters Worldwide in January 2027, in North America on January 29

Witch on the Holy Night anime movie will begin its worldwide theatrical release in January 2027, with Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment announcing release dates for multiple international markets. It will premiere in Japan on November 20, 2026.

The ufotable film will open in the United States and Canada on January 29, 2027. It will be available in Japanese with English subtitles as well as an English dub.

• January 26: Austria, Germany, German-speaking Switzerland
• January 27: France, Belgium, French-speaking Switzerland
• January 28: Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Central America, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Italy, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Italian-speaking Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand
• January 29: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, Poland, Sweden, India
• February 5: Spain, Kazakhstan

Witch on the Holy Night (Mahoutsukai no Yoru) is a visual novel originally developed by TYPE-MOON and written by Kinoko Nasu, best known for works like Fate/stay night and Tsukihime. The game first launched in Japan on April 12, 2012, with an English version released globally in December 2022. It also became available on Steam in 2023.

The visual novel features character designs by Hirokazu Koyama and a soundtrack composed by Hideyuki Fukasawa. The upcoming film adaptation is being produced by Ufotable, the studio behind titles like Demon Slayer and Fate/Zero.
