Witch on the Holy Night anime movie by ufotable revealed a new teaser trailer and confirmed a November 20, 2026 release date. The project was first announced back in December 2021, while the first teaser video was revealed in December 2023.
The trailer was revealed during a special program, which was streamed on YouTube. It is now available on official Aniplex YouTube channel.
Witch on the Holy Night (Mahoutsukai no Yoru) is a visual novel originally developed by TYPE-MOON and written by Kinoko Nasu, best known for works like Fate/stay night and Tsukihime. The game first launched in Japan on April 12, 2012, with an English version released globally in December 2022. It also became available on Steam in 2023.
The visual novel features character designs by Hirokazu Koyama and a soundtrack composed by Hideyuki Fukasawa. The upcoming film adaptation is being produced by Ufotable, the studio behind titles like Demon Slayer and Fate/Zero.
