Witch on the Holy Night anime movie has announced a special program featuring new information, including a final 90-second trailer. It will be held on September 30, 2026.
The film is set to premiere on November 20, 2026 in Japan, while the anime will begin its worldwide theatrical release in January 2027.
Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment bringing the film to the United States and Canada on January 29, 2027, and it will be available in Japanese with English subtitles as well as an English dub.
Today’s announcement came during KYOMAF Stage (Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair), with Yusuke Kobayashi and Kana Hanazawa attending the panel.

Witch on the Holy Night (Mahoutsukai no Yoru) is a visual novel originally developed by TYPE-MOON and written by Kinoko Nasu, best known for works like Fate/stay night and Tsukihime. The game first launched in Japan on April 12, 2012, with an English version released globally in December 2022. It also became available on Steam in 2023.
The visual novel features character designs by Hirokazu Koyama and a soundtrack composed by Hideyuki Fukasawa. The upcoming film adaptation is being produced by Ufotable, the studio behind titles like Demon Slayer and Fate/Zero.
