The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me Released a New PV and Visual

The production committee for the TV anime adaptation of The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me (Shiotaiou no Satou-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai) has released a new promo video and visual. Additionally, they’ve revealed an October 6 premiere. The anime’s new PV debuted the show’s opening and closing songs. Masayoshi Oishi will perform the opening song “Sugar Salt.” The show’s ending song will be “Hatsukoi Reply” by HoneyWorks and Hoshikawa Sara. You can view the PV below.

The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me follows the budding romance between Sota Oshio and Koharu Sato. Most people find Koharu unapproachable. After all, she’s curt, quick to cut conversations short, and seems uninterested in those around her. However, that icy exterior stems from Koharu’s intense introversion; inside, she is cuddly and warm. But when Sota saves her from an unfortunate situation, he inadvertently creates the perfect opening to see the real Koharu. And to his surprise, the kawaii Koharu wants to know the real him too!

Tezuka Productions, known for anime like The Quintessential Quintuplets and The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses, will animate The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me. The anime’s voice cast includes:

• Miku Ito as Koharu Sato
• Miyu Tomita as Rinka Sudo
• Chiaki Kobayashi as Ren Misono
• Yoshino Aoyama as Shizuku Misono
• Hisako Kanemoto as Mayo Nezu
• Yasunori Matsumoto as Seizaemon Oshio
• Yuki Wakai as Madoka Murasaki

The production committee had previously announced that Fumihiro Yoshimaru would direct the anime. Daisuke Okushima is the anime’s character designer. Takashi Aoshima will provide the show’s scripts.

Kazami Sawatari debuted The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot For Me as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro under the name Shiotaiō no Satō-san, Kono Mae Nanpa kara Tasukete kara Nanka Ore ni dake Mechakucha Amakunai?. Shogakukan acquired the story in 2019 and published it as a light novel with illustrations by Achiki. The publisher has since released 13 volumes.

Kaya Tetsuyama adapted The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot For Me into a manga. Shogakukan’s Manga One and Ura Sunday serialize the manga.
