A new trailer and additional cast members for the Witch Watch anime were revealed during the series’ panel at Jump Festa ’25. The new cast members include Mikako Komatsu as Masuku Yuri and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Tenryu Kiyomiya.
Witch Watch begins airing in April 2025 with Bibury Animation Studios handling the production. The first teaser trailer for the series was revealed back in August.

Hiroshi Ikehata is the director of the Witch Watch anime with Masao Kawase working as the assistant director. Deko Akao is handling the series composition and Haruko Iizuka is in charge of the character designer. The main voice cast includes:
- Rina Kawaguchi as Nico Wakatsuki
- Ryota Suzuki as Morihito Otogi
- Tomori Kusunoki as Nemu Miyao
- Kohei Amasaki as Kanshi Kazamatsuri
- Kaito Ishikawa as Keigo Megami
Witch Watch
Witch Watch by Kenta Shinohara began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2021 and has since released a total of 183 chapters and 19 volumes. New simulpub chapters are released every Sunday on both the official Shonen Jump and MANGAPlus apps. VIZ Media licensed the series in English in 2021 and has since published the first 12 volumes (digital). The Witch Watch manga currently has over 2 million copies in circulation as of December 2024.
VIZ Media describes the plot of the Witch Watch manga as such:
Morihito Otogi’s family is descended from a long line of ogre familiars, and he has the inhuman strength to prove it. One day, his father comes to him with the life-changing news that he is to become the familiar of his childhood friend, the teenage witch Nico. He is to live under the same roof with her and protect her from anything and anyone that may attempt to harm her. Meanwhile, Nico is excited to get to live with the love of her life, even if her crush is one-sided—Morihito is so serious about his duties to protect her that any romance is going to be an uphill battle. But he has every reason to be serious, as Nico has a prophecy of doom hanging over her head!
