Witch Watch announced a Season 2 immediately after the first season’s finale, which premiered on October 5. The announcement was made with a special illustration featuring the main cast, with the words “Congratulations!! Witch Watch Anime Season 2 Confirmed!” written on the blackboard.
Bibury Animation Studios animated the first season with a total of 25 episodes. Hiroshi Ikehata was the director, while Masao Kawase was the assistant director. Deko Akao wrote the series composition, Haruko Iizuka designed the characters Yukari Hashimoto composed the music. The voice cast consists of the following:
- Rina Kawaguchi as Nico Wkatsuki
- Ryota Suzuki as Morihito Otogi
- Tomori Kusunoki as Nemu Miyao
- Kaito Ishikawa as Keigo Magami
- Kohei Amasaki as Kanshi Kazamatsuri
- Yuki Wakai as Miharu Kiryu
- Mikako Komatsu as Yuri Makuawa
- Rie Takahashi as Kara Minami
- Konomi Kohara as Kukumi Ureshino
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Tenryu Kiyonomiya

Morihito Otogi is a high schooler with the strength of an ogre. Life is peaceful until his childhood friend and witch-in-training, Nico Wakatsuki, moves in. The anime is based on a manga written and illustrated by Kenta Shinohara. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since February 2021. There are currently 23 volumes in circulation. Viz Media is publishing it in English.
