The previously announced Zatsu Tabi: That’s Journey adaptation has been confirmed to be a TV anime series that will be released in 2025. A teaser trailer and visual have been revealed following the announcement. Watch the teaser trailer below:
Studio Makaria (Dropkick on My Devil!!: End of Century Edition) is animating the series under the direction of Masaharu Watanabe, who is known for directing all three seasons of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World. Yoshiko Nakamura is handling the series composition while rere is in charge of the character designs. Yoshiaki Fujisawa is composing the music for the series.

The Zatsu Tabi: That’s Journey anime is based on a manga written and illustrated by Kenta Ishizaka. It began serialization in March 2019 in the seinen manga magazine Dengeki Maoh. There are currently 10 volumes out with the next set to release on June 26, 2024. The manga was nominated for “Best Printed Manga” at both the 2020 and 2021 Next Manga Awards.
The manga follows the story of Chika Suzugamori, an aspiring manga artist, who constantly faces new rejections with each submission of her drafts. Frustrated and on the brink of giving up, she has a sudden epiphany: embarking on an adventurous journey that will also heal her mentally. Thus begins her quest to create the ultimate travel comic, based on her experiences. (Anime Corner synopsis)
