LiSA’s song for Demon Slayer Movie: Mugen Train, Homura, reached 100 million plays in total! In only one week it managed to get 14,333,542 playbacks on Billboard JAPAN Streaming Songs chart! Homura was released on October 16, 2020, and is used as a theme song for Demon Slayer Movie: Mugen Train. The song hit the milestone after 7 weeks. That means LiSA’s Homura got 100 million plays faster than BTS’s “Dynamite” which achieved the milestone after 11 weeks and set the new record in history.
Billboard JAPAN’s weekly streaming song chart “Streaming Songs” adds all plays from GfK Japan’s all-you-can-listen on-demand domestic music services (Amazon Music Unlimited, Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, HMVmusic, KKBOX, LINE MUSIC. , Rakuten Music, Rec Music, Spotify), playlist-type streaming service (d hits, song pass), and YouTube Music stats that Nielsen provides.
Not only that but the song already got a “Song of the Year” award in Japan! Congratulations to LiSA for getting so many achievements this year. Hopefully, she’ll keep delivering and providing us with amazing music in the future as well. What’s more, we really hope she will perform a theme song for the next Demon Slayer season. Unfortunately, there is no information about the series getting another season as of now.
