Platinum End Is Getting An Anime

It has been officially announced at the ongoing Jump Festa that “Platinum End” will be getting a TV anime adaptation. The manga is written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The two are famous for creating the legendary Death Note, as well as Bakuman. The new anime has received a teaser trailer:

It will be animated by Studio Signal MD and premiere in Fall of 2021. The teaser visual was also released:

As his classmates celebrate their middle school graduation, troubled Mirai is mired in darkness. But his battle is just beginning when he receives some salvation from above in the form of an angel. Now Mirai is pitted against 12 other chosen humans in a battle in which the winner becomes the next god of the world. Mirai has an angel in his corner, but he may need to become a devil to survive.

The manga has been serialized since 2015 and is still ongoing. It’s awesome to hear that another work from the duo will be getting an anime, and Platinum End will surely be worth checking out! Shuumatsu no Valkyrye is also getting an anime!
