The upcoming BLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI- revealed yet another trailer ahead of the April 19 premiere in Japan. Studio 8bit is animating the project, which will also have international screenings starting this June.
Shunsuke Ishikawa will be directing, with Taku Kishimoto on the series composition and original author Muneyuki Yaneshiro on the story composition. Jun Murayama is composing the music. The movie will focus on Seishiro Nagi, voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki, and Reo Mikage, voiced by Yuma Uchida. Both voice actors are reprising the roles from the Blue Lock TV anime.
Episode Nagi will adapt the prequel manga to the Blue Lock series. The manga, written by Muneyeki Kaneshiro features art by Kota Sannomiya and Yusuke Nomura’s character designs. It was licensed by Kodansha USA in English and is currently being serialized on the K MANGA app, with print release slated for this fall. The plot is described as:
Seishiro Nagi, a second-year high schooler, thought everything was a pain and lived his life in an apathetic fog. That is, until he met Reo Mikage and they entered the mysterious striker training center, Blue Lock… A new spin-off from Blue Lock’s author, Muneyuki Kaneshiro, telling the story from Nagi’s point of view!
