Live-Action BLUE LOCK Movie Reveals Ado Theme Song in New Trailer, Main Poster Revealed

BLUE LOCK live-action movie has revealed a new trailer, main poster, and its official theme song, confirming that Ado will perform the film’s lead track, “Monstruo.”

The announcement follows a teaser from yesterday, when the film’s official social media accounts released a visual featuring the slogan “The ego sings wildly.” The poster quickly sparked speculation among fans, particularly after Ado reposted it on her official X account. The mystery was quickly resolved with the release of the film’s second full trailer today.

Ado described the song as a collaboration with producers Giga and TeddyLoid, the team behind her hit songs “Odo” and “Show.” The lyrics were written by ryo (supercell).

“The title ‘Monstruo’ means ‘monster’ in Spanish. It’s a song that perfectly matches the message of the series, about awakening the monster within yourself and pushing forward farther than anyone else,” Ado said.

Besides the trailer, the film also revealed its main theatrical poster, which you can see below:

Producer Shinzo Matsuhashi said the production specifically wanted Ado to perform the theme song, citing her ability to capture the spirit of BLUE LOCK’s “true egoists.”

“When true egoists come together, they create a kind of teamwork that nobody could have imagined before. The collaboration between Giga, TeddyLoid, ryo, and Ado is proof of that.”

Animated by 8bit, the anime has released two TV anime seasons and the BLUE LOCK -Episode Nagi- movie so far.

We had the chance to interview Kazuki Ura (Isagi’s Japanese voice actor), Ryoya Arisawa (anime producer), and Megumu Tsuchiya (manga editor) at last year’s Anime Expo. We talked with them about working on the manga and anime series, the challenges they faced in creating the work loved by fans worldwide, and more about Season 2. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.
