The Koi wa Futago de Warikirenai (Love Between Twins Is Indivisible) anime has announced the theme songs which will be used in the series. The opening theme is “Parallel Heart” by Maaya Uchida, while the ending theme is “Honey Citron” by the characters Rumi and Naori, voiced by Moeha Nochimoto and Uchida respectively.
The anime, set to air this July, will be animated by Studio Roll2 under the direction of Motoki Nakanishi. Michiko Yokote will serve as scriptwriter and Mai Watanabe as character designer. The cast lineup for the anime includes:
- Shogo Sakata as Jun Shirosaki
- Moeha Nochimoto as Rumi Jinguji
- Maaya Uchida as Naori Jinguji
- Katsumi Fukuhara as Toyoshige Moriwaki
- Misaki Ikeda as Reira Asano
- Yuko Ono as Ririsu Kamedake
The Koi wa Futago de Warikirenai anime is based on a manga light novel series written by Shihon Takamura and illustrations by Almic. It has been serialized by ASCII Media Works under its Dengeki Bunko imprint since May 2021. As of this writing, five volumes are out with the sixth to be released in July. A manga adaptation with illustrations by Okari has also been serialized under ASCII Media Works’s Dengeki Comics NEXT since April 2022.
The plot of Koi wa Futago de Warikirenai romantic comedy revolves around Jun, a young boy who is childhood friend with two twin sisters with different personalities. Rumi appears tomboyish but is an otome (maiden) on the inside while Naori has a charming otaku persona. As the story continues, Jun finds himself caught up in a love triangle with these two.
