Re:Zero – Witch’s Re:surrection game introduced a new theme song “Resurrection” by Konomi Suzuki and a new game trailer earlier today. The game was initially announced at last year’s AnimeJapan alongside Re:Zero’s third season. It is slated for a summer 2024 release date on Android and iOS. Kadokawa is publishing the Witch’s Re:surrection and while the RPG game will be free, it will feature in-app purchases.
Re:ZERO: Starting Life in Another World manga is adapting the story from the light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki. It features art by Haruno Atori. Yu Aikawa is doing the series composition. The manga has been serialized in Media Factory’s Comic Alive magazine since 2019.
The series received an anime adaptation by studio White Fox in 2016, running for 25 episodes from April to September. A 2nd season followed in 2020 with two cours: the first aired from July to September 2020, while Part 2 aired from January to March 2021. The series also has two OVA and the Frozen Bonds movie, as well as a series of shorts by Studio Puyukai, titled Re:Zero − Starting Break Time From Zero and Re:Petit − Starting Life in Another World from Petit. It is a part of the Isekai Quartet world.
Konomi Suzuki is also performing the opening theme song for the third season, titled “Reweave.” Suzuki also performed openings for the first season (“Redo”) and the second season (“Realize”). Re:Zero’s third season will have a 90-minute world premiere at this year’s Anime Expo, while the streaming premiere is expected in October.
