Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 2 revealed the fifth character visual, giving the spotlight to Latifa and her voice actress. The anime previously revealed visuals and short interviews for Celia Clare, Liselotte Cretia, Aishia, and Miharu.
Tomori Kusunoki voices Latifa, and you can see her visual and interview below.
Just like with the other four girls, Tomori Kusunoki gave answers to the following questions:
- Q: Looking back on Latifa’s role in the first season, what kind of character do you think she is now? Could you share any changes in your impression of Latifa, or if your view of her has remained consistent?
A: Latifa had a sad and painful background, and her relationship with Rio was quite complicated at first. However, I think she gradually transformed and grew as a character, with her vocabulary expanding, and her personality becoming more gentle.
She has a beautiful heart that allows her to honestly express the new feelings she experiences while spending time with Rio, and I think her pure nature is very charming. Her affection for Rio hasn’t changed—in fact, it increases day by day (laughs). - Q: The second season has been confirmed. Could you share your feelings after recording the voice-overs?
A: I feel that Latifa has gone from being a younger, childlike character to becoming a wonderful older sister figure. After meeting Miharu and the others, I believe a sense of responsibility or even a desire to protect them has started to develop within her. I’m very happy to see Latifa grow at such a fast pace each time I play her. - Q: What is the highlight of Latifa’s role in the second season?
A: Since Latifa is now in a position to welcome Rio, I’ve been consciously portraying her in a way that makes the audience feel a sense of “Welcome home!” every time she appears. While she’s aiming to be a wonderful older sister, Latifa still has many adorable qualities, so I hope everyone will watch over her with warmth.
TMS Entertainment returned to animate the sequel, which will premiere on October 7. The main staff is also returning and includes Osamu Yamasaki as the director and in charge of the series composition, Kyoko Yufu as the character designer and also chief animation director, and Yasuyuki Yamazaki in charge of the music.
