CYBERPUNK EDGERUNNERS 2 voice cast was revealed following the trailer release yesterday, with Koki Uchiyama and Akari Kito among the Japanese members. Studio TRIGGER is back to animate, with the anime set to release on Netflix in Fall 2026. We recently spoke with the show’s writer and producer Bartosz Sztybor, who told us why they chose the studio and shared insights into the production.

See who voices the CYBERPUNK EDGERUNNERS 2 characters in Japanese:

  • Koki Uchiyama as D
  • Momoka Terasawa as Roman Carax
  • Akari Kito as Talia Yang
  • Kentaro Tone as Weak Kingsley

For the English cast, the announced voice actors include:

  • Nazeeh Tarsha as D
  • Valeria Rodriguez as Roman Carax
  • Kimoy Lee as Talia Yang
  • Clancy Brown as Weak Kingsley

You can read the four characters’ descriptions below.

  • Weak Kingsley: Once known as “King,” a veteran edgerunner at the top of his game, Weak now lives in the shadow of his former glory.
  • D: A Snake Nation netrunner with sharp technical skills and a sharper hunger for revenge, D hunts the killer who wiped out his clan.
  • Roman Carax: A young cinephile, documenting truth, he shadows the lives of others.
  • Talia Yang: Talia is fiercely independent and embraces the hyper-violent, chrome-obsessed culture of the Maelstrom gang.

CD PROJEKT RED (or CDPR) is the company behind the Cyberpunk 2077 video game. Studio TRIGGER also animated the first CYBERPUNK: EDGE RUNNERS anime series, which was released in September 2022 and also had a total of 10 episodes. The franchise launched a prequel manga focused on Rebecca and Pilar in December 2024.

The first anime was voted as the Best New Anime of the year in our yearly awards for that year, as well as the Best Original Anime. Netflix is streaming the show, describing its story:
The series tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City — a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he stays alive by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
