Studio TRIGGER is back to animate. We recently spoke with the show’s writer and producer Bartosz Sztybor, who told us why they chose the studio and shared insights into the production.

The new anime is a new 10-episode story from the world of Cyberpunk 2077, earlier described as “a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge.” It is directed by Kai Ikarashi, who directed Episode 6 of the original anime titled “Girl on Fire.” Ichigo Kanno is the character designer, while screenplay will be handled by Masahiko Otsuka. Bartosz Sztybor is also back as showrunner, story writer, and producer. The anime was voted as the most anticipated Fall 2026 anime by Anime Corner’s followers.

Netflix is exclusively streaming the anime, while both music albums are available now through Milan Records. You can also read our review of the anime.
