The preview images and staff for Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 episode 1 were revealed on Monday. The 90-minute season premiere titled “Theatrical Malice” is set to air on Wednesday, October 2, with studio White Fox returning to handle the animation production. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime with English subtitles. Fans can check out the preview images below:

Re:Zero Season 3 will run for 16 episodes, covering the Attack arc and Counterattack arc with 8 episodes each. The Counterattack arc will begin airing its episodes on February 5, 2025. Konomi Suzuki is performing the opening theme song “Reweave” while MYTH & ROID ED performs the ending theme song titled “NUX LOX”.

A year has passed since the battle in the Sanctuary, and Subaru has been enjoying his days together with Emilia in the camp. However, their peaceful life comes to an end with the arrival of a single letter. Delivered by Julius and Mimi, who have come as messengers of Anastasia, the letter is an invitation to the Watergate City of Priestella. It mentions a merchant who possesses the magic crystal Emilia has been searching for as a new vessel for Puck. What awaits Subaru and his friends in Priestella are some familiar faces from the past.
