The TV drama adaptation will be directed by Koji Shintoku, with Satoko Okazaki in charge of the screenplay. Kyodo Television is the production company. The main cast consists of Riko Nagase as Marin Kitagawa and Koto Nomura as Wakana Gojo. They both left comments with the initial adaptation announcement, and you can see the two in the photo below.

Additional cast members were announced just a few days ago, and they include Meikyo Yamada as Kaoru Gojo, Akana Ikeda as Sajuna Inui, Kokoro Toyoshima as Shinju Inui, and Daichi Shiozaki as Chitose Amano.

My Dress-Up Darling is originally a Japanese manga series written and drawn by Shinichi Fukuda. Square Enix is publishing it in both Japanese and English. The series received an anime adaptation by CloverWorks in Winter 2022, with Crunchyroll streaming it. A sequel was announced in September of the same year, with no details revealed so far.

The story follows Wakana Gojo, a high school boy aiming to become a master craftsman of Japanese Hina dolls like his grandfather. He encounters Marin Kitagawa, an eccentric extrovert girl who has a dream of cosplaying. They team up and end up (kind of) living both of their dreams as they also develop the relationship between them.
