Rin Itoshi and Yoichi Isagi from the BLUE LOCK will appear on the cover of the special edition of the an an magazine, which is set for release on December 11. This is coming as the anime is heading towards the 2-episode special finale on December 28, which will conclude the match between BLUE LOCK and U-20 Japan.
The cover features Rin Itoshi as the absolute champion of the BLUE LOCK project proudly wearing the captain’s armband, with Yoichi Isagi, the protagonist who kept evolving and earned a spot in the U-20 team.
The special edition of the an an magazine will include an encyclopedia focusing on the following seven key players from BLUE LOCK Season 2:
- Sae Itoshi
- Oliver Aiku
- Tabito Karasu
- Kageya Otoya
- Kenyu Yukimiya
- Shoei Baro
- Ryusei Shido
The issue will also include:
- Interviews with voice actors Koki Uchiyama (Rin Itoshi), Kazuki Ura (Yoichi Isagi), and Tsubasa Kaito (Bachira Meguru)
- An 8-page feature about the remaining BLUE LOCK members and new characters from the U-20 team
- Insights into the story’s highlights
- An interview with producer Ryoya Arisawa
Producer Ryoya Arisawa recently also answered fan questions, including whether he is satisfied with the adaptation, the possibility of a Season 3, and the noticeable changes in animation between Season 1 and Season 2.
Muneyuki Kaneshiro writes the BLUE LOCK manga, with art by Yusuke Nomura. Kodansha is publishing the manga in English. The story follows BLUE LOCK, the project to create the ultimate egoistical striker that will take Japan to a World Cup trophy. They are now facing the U-20 Japan, with Shido Ryusei set to make his debut.
