The 100 Girlfriends Valentine's Illustrations Are Deliciously Kawaii

Valentine’s might be over, but that doesn’t mean we need to stop fawning over Valentine’s Day art. And if there’s art that’s worth fawning over, it’s the 100 Girlfriends Valentine’s illustrations. Drawn by Imomushi (the show’s ED animator), these lovely little illustrations showcase the Rentaro family girls in kawaii chibi forms.

The adorable illustrations were released as a lead-up to Valentines day. Eloquently portraying each girl’s personality against a background of sweetness, Imomushi’s art may have been Valentine’s inspired but is a year-round delight.

What’s The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You About?

Rentaro Aijo has lived an unfortunate life. Throughout his quest for love, he’s endured rejection after rejection. His rejections are so frequent that he managed to hear a “no” a total of 100 times. Broken and alone, Rentaro stumbles to a shrine to pray for better fortunes. It’s there that a god love appeared before him and informed him that all his failures were not his fault.

Soon, Rentaro would find the love of his life. And then he’d find her again, and again, and again; for Rentaro doesn’t only have a single soulmate, he has 100. How did Rentaro handle that news? Check out 100 Girlfriends on Crunchyroll to find out, and take these 100 Girlfriends Valentine’s illustrations with you when you go.
