OSHI NO KO announced a large-scale summer event for this September in Tokorozawa, Japan, also set to feature a Season 3 event. As part of its nationwide promotional campaign, new regional character visuals inspired by the Tohoku and Kanto regions have been revealed. They form part of the ongoing “47 Prefectures Project,” which reimagines the characters based on Japan’s local culture and landmarks.
The newly revealed designs feature characters styled to reflect six prefectures in Tohoku (Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata, and Fukushima), as well as those in the Kanto region (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Gunma).
Each visual draws inspiration from traditional festivals, local fashion, and regional identity, showing the characters in different outfits, with Ruby and Aqua Hoshino in the center.
The major summer festival celebrating OSHI NO KO will take place through September 14-15, 2025, at Tokorozawa Sakura Town, outside Tokyo. The event will feature:
- Live stage appearances by the main voice cast
- A Season 3 information reveal panel (also streamed online)
- Bon-odori dance performances featuring mascots and music from the anime
- Episode screenings from Seasons 1 and 2
- A special museum exhibition featuring life-size figures, costumes, and previously released regional visuals
The highlight of the festival will be a Season 3 announcement stage, taking place on September 14 at 6:00 PM JST, with all main cast members scheduled to appear.
