A new illustration of My Hero Academia’s Deku and Bakugo drawn by creator Kohei Horikoshi will appear on the cover of the MEN’S NON-NO August–September 2025 special edition, releasing in Japan on July 9.
The characters are shown wearing casual outfits featuring the “MEN’S NON-NO T-Shirts” that have appeared in the manga. For this cover, Horikoshi imagined how the two would style the shirts in their everyday lives, giving Deku an American-style casual look and Bakugo a rough, local streetwear vibe.
“I thought of Deku wearing something like a middle-school American casual outfit, and Bakugo dressed like a local delinquent.
I used colors that match their personalities and added oversized fits to give it a MEN’S NON-NO feel.”
The special edition comes with two exclusive items using this illustration:
- An acrylic stand of Deku and Bakugo (about 11 cm tall, with connectable bases)
- An acrylic charm top (about 7.5 cm, ball chain not included)
Both standard and special editions also include a B5-sized sticker sheet, featuring the new cover illustration and a manga panel of Deku wearing the same T-shirt. The stickers are die-cut and sized to fit in a phone case.
