The upcoming Sasaki and Peeps Season 2 has unveiled a new visual and a 2026 premiere date. The announcement was made during the MF Bunko J Autumn School Festival special program.
A key visual was previously revealed. Crunchyroll is streaming anime and they described the story:
Sasaki is a middle-aged office worker living in Japan. Feeling drained by the vapid corporate world, he heads to the pet shop in search of a new companion. There he finds an adorable bird named Peeps and takes him home. But Sasaki quickly learns that Peeps isn’t your average bird…he’s a powerful mage from another world! Together, they embark on a magical adventure filled with swords and sorcery.
Buncololi writes the light novel series on which the anime is based from with illustrations by Kantoku. It was first published as a web novel on the Kakuyomu and Shosetsuka ni Naro websites in December 2018. Media Factory’s MF Bunko J imprint serialized the series in January 2021. There is also a manga adaptation by Pureji Osho in Kadokawa Shoten’s Shonen Ace Plus, which also began in January 2021. Yen Press has licensed both the light novel and manga in English.
