A Livid Lady’s Guide to Getting Even: How I Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires anime unveiled a teaser trailer and visual, along with the cast and staff, and a July 2026 premiere date.
Saori Onishi stars as Elizabeth Leiston / Ellie Leis, a noblewoman whose engagement to the crown prince is broken and then betrayed by the very kingdom she had devoted her life to, ending up falsely imprisoned.
The voice actress was also interviewed about the series:
Q. What do you find most appealing about this series?
A. The fact that every character plays their role right to the end! There are so many characters who absolutely deserve Elizabeth’s vow for revenge—seriously!
Please enjoy the story as if you were Elizabeth yourself. I promise, it’s incredibly satisfying!
Q. What were your thoughts going into the role of Elizabeth Leiston / Ellie Leis? Were there any aspects you were particularly mindful of while performing?
A. Elizabeth is an incredibly sharp character, so I paid close attention to delivering her
complex lines and phrasing with natural conviction. She’s much quicker-witted than I am, so there were moments where I thought, “If it were me, I’d probably hesitate or think it through more…” but I tried to deliver her lines as if they were clear-cut answers. Keeping up with Elizabeth is no easy feat! But I’m doing my best!
