The World’s Strongest Witch light novel by Sakaki Mochimaru is getting an anime adaptation. A teaser visual and announcement trailer were also released along with the main staff and cast. The anime is slated to release in October 2026.
The anime stars Azusa Tachibana as the titular character Lorna. Joji Furuta is directing the anime studio Bridge and Aisle. Shoji Yonemura is in charge of the series composition. Yuki Morimoto is the character designer.
The series was initially published on Shosetsuka ni Naro and Kakuyomu platforms in May 2022. Square Enix acquired the title under its SQEX Novel imprint and began publishing it as a light novel in December 2022. There is also a manga adaptation illustrated by Tamaki Toga. Yen Press is publishing the light novel in English, describing the story as:
When Lorna manifests a completely useless ability, she’s labeled an embarrassment to her family and kicked out of the house. With no money or food, she’s about to hit rock bottom. But then, she figures out how to use her supposedly worthless SSS-Rank skill, “Internet.” This cheat-level talent gives her the know-how to gather an unlimited amount of valuable items and easily acquire rare equipment. Armed with godlike knowledge, Lorna’s free to do anything she wants! If only she could figure out what “lmfao” means…
