JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure: JOJOLANDS has been officially announced, but it’s not clear if this is Part 9 of the JoJo series. Hirohiko Araki is once again writing the story, and JOJOLANDS will begin after a short break.
In addition to JOJOLANDS news, a spin-off manga by Kohei Kadono, the author of Purple Haze Feedback, and Tasuku Karasuma, No Guns Life author, is also coming this winter.
The news was announced in September’s issue on Ultra Jump magazine, where JoJo manga is being serialized, along with Hirohiko Araki’s message to the readers:

The latest JoJo story, JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure Part 8: JoJolion, published its final, 110th, chapter today. The first chapter of Jojolion came out in 2011, following the success of previous parts. Sadly, JoJolion isn’t available in English yet, but Shueisha, the Japanese publisher describes the plot as:
After a devastating earthquake in Morio City, a high school student Yasuho Hirose meets a mysterious young man. The man doesn’t remember anything, and it’s soon clear that he has amnesia. Yasuho decides the discover who the man is, but soon mysterious things begin happening around them.

JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure Franchise
Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure manga series spawned a highly popular franchise with multiple manga spin-offs and side stories, as well as few anime adaptations. The first part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Phantom Blood, came out in 1986. Since then, multiple manga sequels and side stories, including Purple Haze Feedback, were published. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: JOJOLANDS will be the latest installment.
The series also received a few anime adaptations. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (1993-1994) and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (2000) OVA series both adapted the events of Stardust Crusaders (Part 3). The plot followed Jonathan Joestar and his grandson Jotaro, in their fight to stop Dio. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood movie from 2007 was based on Part 1 of the manga. However, this movie is not available on home media, because Shueisha terminated its relationship with the A.P.P.P. studio.
In 2012, a new adaptation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by David Production studio came out. The first season adapted Part 1 and had 26 episodes. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders and Stardust Crusaders – Battle in Egypt followed with 24 episodes each. Diamond is Unbreakable (39 episodes) came out in 2016, while the latest season, Golden Wind, aired from Fall 2018 to 2019 and also had 39 episodes. The anime adaptation of Part 6, titled JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, is premiering this December on Netflix. Netflix will have an exclusive premiere, but the anime officially begins airing on Japanese TV in January. The trailer for the anime is also available:
