86-Eighty Six Second Cour Opening Theme Hits 2 Million Views

The opening theme for the second cour of 86-Eighty Six hit two million views on Wednesday. The stunning video on Aniplex’s official Youtube channel hit the two million mark in just a few weeks. The opening was first posted earlier this month on October 7. In comparison, the previous opening has yet to surpass two million views and that has been out for six months now. With music performed by amazarashi, the new opening theme made its debut at the end of episode 12 to kick off the second cour of 86-Eighty Six.

Incredible animations mixed in with an array of beautiful colors, 86-Eighty Six 2nd Cour’s opening theme is one of the most visually stunning of the fall lineup.

The build-up to the Spearhead Squadron flying down onto a battlefield covered with soothing light and vibrant colors gives the viewer a sense of comfort mixed with pure adrenaline. After a few weeks, most of the characters in the opening have been introduced by now. The new opening theme is just another piece added to the amazing series that is 86-Eighty Six. The heavy metaphors and foreshadowing make it that much more amazing.

Possible Anime of the Season

After achieving something remarkable in episode 1586-Eighty Six is shaping up to be a contender for anime of the season. It has now placed in the top-5 for every week so far in our weekly poll.
