The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie has released the full anime trailer! The film previously revealed several character designs and a cool key visual, and it will premiere in Japan on December 24 this year. It came after a set of tease tweets, and you can watch the premiere:
The movie is a prequel focusing on Okkotsu Yuta (CV: Ogata Megumi) and Orimoto Rika (CV: Hanazawa Kana). It covers Volume 0 of the manga, which VIZ describes as:
Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem. His childhood friend Rika has turned into a Curse and won’t leave him alone. Since Rika is no ordinary Curse, his plight is noticed by Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High, a school where fledgling exorcists learn how to combat Curses. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, but can he learn enough in time to confront the Curse that haunts him?

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga recently exceeded 55 million copies in circulation. The manga began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018, and it has 17 volumes as of October 4, 2021. While we wait for the movie’s international release date, you can read the manga on MANGA Plus or VIZ.
