Yowamushi Pedal season 5, titled LIMIT BREAK, is coming in October 2022. As of now, there are no additional details regarding the new season, but a key visual was revealed:
Yowamushi Pedal is a sports manga created by Wataru Watanabe who also created the Majimoji Rurumo manga. The manga won the 39th Kodansha Manga Award with Seven Deadly Sins in the Shounen Manga category. In Fall 2013, the first season of the anime adaptation premiered. The first season has a total of 38 episodes and was produced by TMS Entertainment. The franchise currently has 4 anime seasons, 5 movies, and a game for the Nintendo 3DS.
Additionally, Yowamushi Pedal also has 2 live-action adaptations. The first one was a TV drama that premiered in Japan in 2015 and had 2 seasons, while the second is a live-action movie from 2020. In addition to live-action adaptations, a stage drama with 12 parts also exists.
Onoda Sakamichi is a rather timid, anime-loving first-year student at Sohoku High School. Upon entering high school, he tried to join the anime research club, but after meeting Imaizumi Shunsuke, a renowned cyclist since middle school, and Naruko Shoukichi, who swept the Kansai cycling championship, he ended up joining the competitive cycling club.
