We all love Komi in Komi Can’t Communicate, and it seems like the creator of My Hero Academia, Horikoshi Kohei, is a fan as well, and he showed it by drawing a fanart of the character. He posted it on his official Twitter account, with a message that he is watching the anime. You can see the tweet below:
The message reads: It’s a fanart of Komi-san. I’m watching the anime.
Tomohito Oda writes and draws the original manga, which began in Weekly Shounen Sunday in 2017. The anime adaptation by studio OLM currently has 7 episodes out. The synopsis of the story:
The journey to 100 friends begins with a single conversation. Socially anxious high school student Shoko Komi’s greatest dream is to make some friends, but everyone at school mistakes her crippling social anxiety for cool reserve! With the whole student body keeping their distance and Komi unable to utter a single word, friendship might be forever beyond her reach. Timid Tadano is a total wallflower, and that’s just the way he likes it. He lives to blend in with the background. All that changes when he finds himself alone in a classroom on the first day of high school with the legendary Komi. He quickly realizes she isn’t aloof, she’s just super awkward. Now he’s made it his mission to help her on her quest to make 100 friends! (Viz Media)
Episode 8 of Komi Can’t Communciate will release this Thursday on Netflix, and you can join the creator of My Hero Academia in watching it!
