VShojo Raises US$11M in Funding To Expand Brand Worldwide

VTuber agency VShojo has raised US$11m in funding, which will be used by the agency in expanding its brand presence worldwide. The funding includes participation in major gaming and anime culture conventions, as well as upcoming talent recruitments to expand content production.

VShojo’s funding round has been led by US-based investment firm Anthos Capital, as well as with fellow venture capital firms GFR Fund at Green Bay Ventures.

In a public statement, Justin “theGunrun” Ignacio, CEO at VShojo, said that through the funding, VShojo will be able to innovate, promote more powerfully, and enhance its content production support. He added that this funding is also poised to leapfrog the growth of talent operating in the emerging culture of VTubers.

The latest funding is one of the latest large developments for the US-based VTuber agency, most notably one of its talents, Ironmouse, whose recently-concluded Twitch subathon has broken several online records.

At the moment, VShojo has also announced that their latest initiative “Project HOPE” has raised over US$100k in support of providing essential medicines and medical supplies to assist Ukrainians amid the ongoing crisis.

VShojo’s presence globally has been rampant in the past few months, including their tie-up with Nippon TV’s V-Clan Network, as well as their participation in the VILLS vol. 3 event in Japan. In return, this has reaped rewards across their talents, including collaborations with other big names in the online community.
