The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film is getting a Philippine theatrical release starting on June 22. The film will be available for screening across SM Cinemas nationwide, as well as on Ayala Mall Cinemas. Information about Phillippine release was previously teased, but the date wasn’t known.
Both cinema chains have already opened up ticket reservations for the release. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is one of the latest anime films that got a Philippine release, the most recent being Sword Art Online: Progressive which kicked off with a fan screening on February 26 this year and was officially released in March.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 recently ended its Japan theatrical release on May 29, and has earned a total of ¥13.6 billion in the local box office. Following the recent update, the film franchise had announced its Blu-ray edition, slated for release on September 21 this year. Said release is 105 minutes long and will come with English subtitles.
In North America, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was released on March 18, 2022, and has earned US$17.7 million in box office revenue during its opening week. According to the latest data from Box Office Mojo, the film has earned a total of US$157,040,831 worldwide, US$29,693,448 coming from the United States.
The film was animated by studio MAPPA and directed by Sunghoo Park with Hiroshi Seko being the screenplay writer. The Jujutsu Kaisen franchise follows Yuta Okkotsu, a nervous high school student who enrolls in the mysterious Tokyo Jujutsu High School under the guidance of Satoru Gojo after being haunted by the curse of his childhood friend.
