Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi Series Gets Anime Adaptation

The Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life series is getting an anime adaptation. It is set to premiere in January 2023. The light novel is written by Rokujuyon Okazawa and illustrated by Sage Jo. Shosetsuka ni Naro first serialized it from November 2018 to July 2020, before being acquired by Kodansha, who serialized it since August 2019 under the Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint.

The novel also received a manga adaptation by Rurekuchie, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Young Magazine the 3rd on August 6, 2019. It then moved to Monthly Young Magazine on May 20, 2021.

The novel follows the story of Dariel, a 30-year-old dark soldier who was fired from his position due to his inability to use magic while in an army of demons. In order to start again, he retires into a village where he uses his abilities ton accept requests for help.
