The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 revealed a key visual, along with staff information. Kinema Citrus will continue to animate the series, which will stream on Crunchyroll. The release date is still unknown. The staff includes:

Season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero anime adaptation premiered in April of this year, after being delayed due from the originally scheduled October 2021 premiere. Masato Jinbo directed the second season, with Keigo Koyanagi on series composition. Masahiro Suwa is credited for character designs. Kevin Penkin returned to compose the music. The anime is based on a light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi and illustrated by Minami Seira.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming the anime (in both sub and dub versions) and describes the plot as:
Iwatani Naofumi, a run-of-the-mill otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world. He is tasked with joining the sword, spear, and bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes and fighting the Waves of Catastrophe as the Shield Hero. Excited by the prospect of a grand adventure, Naofumi sets off with his party. However, merely a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect. Unable to trust anyone anymore, he employs a slave named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world. But will he really find a way to overturn this desperate situation?
