Japanese voice actress and musician Kanon Shizaki is stepping down from her role as Rei Togetsu in the D4DJ multimedia project, the official website for the franchise announced. According to the announcement, casting and plans for the new voice behind Togetsu will be announced soon, and they apologize to fans for the sudden event.
Kanon Shizaki is also known for her role as Rinko Shirokane for the band Roselia in the Japanese music media franchise BanG Dream! Following the announcement, she posted on Twitter regarding the news, and apologized to fans, stating that it has been difficult for her to continue her role as Togetsu.
The Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ (D4DJ) media franchise was created by Bushiroad, with an original story by Ko Nakamura, and Takaaki Kidani serving as the executive director. The project first revolved around doing live disc jockey music sets, as well as a rhythm game called D4DJ Groovy Mix, released in 2020 in Japan.
D4DJ Project received its first anime series adaptation titled D4DJ First Mix. It was animated by Sanzigen, and aired from October 2020 to January 2021. It then got an anime spin-off series called D4DJ Petit Mix, and was animated by DMM.futureworks and W-Toon Studio. A second season titled D4DJ All Mix will premiere in January 2023.

Having moved back to Japan from abroad, she transfers to Yoba Academy where DJing is popular.
