One Piece Film Red Gets Special Video to Celebrate 100th Day since Premiere

The One Piece series’ latest anime film adaptation One Piece Film Red released on Sunday a special video for the 100th day since the movie premiered on August 6, 2022 in Japan. The video is a record of the 100 days and a sequence reads “One Piece Film Red Road to 100 Days“. You can look back on events happened during the period with the theme song “New Genesis” by Ado. The film is currently open in theaters world-wide and released a commemorative illustration by the manga’s author Eiichiro Oda for the ¥18 billion (~$122 million) milestone as of November 7.

One Piece Film Red grossed over ¥2.25 billion (~$15 million) with 1.57 million attendees in the opening weekend in Japan, which made the biggest opening-weekend numbers when it comes to both the audience and earnings among films of 2022. It’s also the best-performing film in One Piece‘s history. The film is screened worldwide and hit theaters in the US in early November. Box Office Mojo reported that the film grossed $9,475,251 in the opening weekend, November 4-6, in the country.

Crunchyroll describes the plot of the movie as:
Uta—the most beloved singer in the world whose voice has been described as “otherworldly”—is renowned for concealing her own identity when performing. Now, for the first time ever, she will reveal herself to the world at a live concert.
With the Navy watching closely, the venue fills with Uta’s fans—including excited pirates and the Straw Hats led by Luffy, who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance—all eagerly awaiting the voice that the whole world has been waiting for to resound. The story begins with the shocking revelation that she is the enigmatic Shanks’ daughter.
