Chainsaw Man Manga Releases Volume 13, Surpasses 23 Million Circulating Copies

Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga released volume 13 on January 4. The new volume compiles chapters 104-112 and with it, the series has surpassed 23 million copies in circulation. This number has increased by 7 million since the 12th volume’s release on October 4, 2022. The manga creator is running the second part of the series on Shueisha’s online manga service Shonen Jump +, and the newest chapter (116th) was also published on the same day.

The new volume features Yuko, a high school student in the Devil Hunter Club aspiring to be a Devil Hunter, on the cover.

Tatsuki Fujimoto originally serialized the Chainsaw Man manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to January 2021 with a total of 11 volumes. The series’ second part has been published on Shonen Jump + since July 2022. Animation studio MAPPA worked on the anime adaptation, which aired from October to December 2022 with a total of 12 episodes.

Viz Media licensed the manga for English releases and published all 11 volumes of the first part so far. The official website describes the plot of the debut volume as:
Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
